All indoor sensors should b screwed in to your outlet whenever possible. We designed NoiseAware to screw into the two most common outlet types below. NoiseAware should always sit on the top of your outlet to avoid any wires hanging over it.
On a standard outlet, you should screw through the eyelet on the bottom of your NoiseAware sensor to the center screw on the outlet:
On a decora outlet, the screw should go through the hole in the middle of the sensor to the screw at the top of the outlet:
NoiseAware should always be screwed in to the top plug on an outlet like this:
