At NoiseAware, we highly value the reliability of our product and the security of our customers. We have been working on some big projects to improve our ‘behind-the-scenes’ software (the stuff that handles everything from calculating Noise Risk Score to dispatching alerts).
Over the past few weeks, we have started to roll out significant enhancements that will continue to make us more reliable and faster as well as continue to make our alerts and system smarter.
Some changes that we’ve made:
- Starting today, the email and phone number associated with your user account will become your primary contact for alerts. If you do not have alerts enabled, or if you already receive alerts to these primary contacts, you can expect no changes. If you are receiving alerts but not to the primary contacts, you may start receiving unexpected alerts to that primary email or phone number.
- If you use Outdoor Noise Sensors, you should expect fewer false alerts due to weather conditions, thanks to our new Smart Alerting set of features. Smart Alerting can qualify alerts on your Outdoor Noise Sensors with historical data from your Indoor Noise Sensors to be more confident that your noise is guest-related.
- You may have noticed some changes to the copy of our text and email alerts, and we’ve also added property-level alerts and improved battery alerting to better inform you of power and network issues at your properties.
We encourage all of our customers to use this opportunity to review your alert settings and make sure that you set your preferences by visiting https://dashboard.noiseaware.io/account, also accessible by clicking your username from the web or in the side menu from the mobile app.
We apologize if you have noticed any oddities in the past weeks as we rolled out these complex changes. We have more changes coming soon, but we don’t expect any disruption to your service. Please contact us if you need any assistance with your account, we’ll be happy to help.
If you have any questions, feedback, or ideas for our next feature, I would love to speak with you! Email product@noiseaware.io if you're interested in providing feedback.
Thanks!
Garrett, Head of Product
